Well-put-together looks rarely create themselves. When working out new outfits, and really getting into it, I've noticed I have to force myself not to go overboard. A trend overdose, or playing around with vintage outfits quickly turns into total looks or fancy dress - utterly fun but utterly forbidden in the real world.
Wearing tapestry print is quite over-the-top in itself, and it can't be helped. I only see two ways of working the trend around the office: worn as a skirt or trouser suit (rock & roll, cartoon or retro motif t-shirt optional), or adding the simplest black. No bloggers' fancy, just easy chic. And if you, like me, are tempted to add your favourite jeans (currently I'm thinking dark slim boyfriend), and a statement short necklace, don't hold back - just complete with some serious heels.
Tapestry suit, sheer shirt, low block heels, belt, and black cropped blazer: all New Look
balconette bra: women'secret
metallic low block heels: New Look
vintage style tapestry print fabric: New Look
work it in the summer:
Great outfit. :)
