HAIL HIGH SUMMER: THE JUNE DIARIES

Bursts of baking heat, beer and World Cup. I'll say no more.

I must say though, before anyone should think it's not my Cup of Beer, I sort of like football (soccer, that is). I grew up totally bored with it, then suddenly got into the spirit - nooo, there were no guys involved as such, but yeees, there were parties... so, I pay homage to that by enjoying World Cup time. I chill out with beers, ales and lagers from all around the world, or Pimms, of course. And if that wasn't enough, there was BreweryFest where I had a couple of master ales (the best by far was called 'a galaxy far away') and tasted a cool combo of IPA and Stout flavoured ice creams. Oh, and if we're talking ales, let it be known far and wide that my award for the ale of the year goes to Iron Maiden's Trooper.

Now that we got that straight, let's see what we came for. High summer means I get to wear sandals - the new Gryphon Docs, the high and the low heeled cool minimals, the trusty t-bars and the all-too-now sliders, yay! It's too bad we often have brutally stormy weather but I fight that with flat loafers and ballerinas like the monochrome Hunter Curzon, a reminder of a recent shopping spree. And since kimonos are huge this season, I created my ideal kimono look, MangaCatte - no Seventies boho for this girl, mates.
